Title: ELECTRICIAN
Reports to: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
POSITION OBJECTIVES
General: To maintain all electric motors, control boxes, starters and PLC’s.
Specific: Operation of all electric equipment and repair.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintenance and repair of motors.
2. Maintenance on control boxes.
3. Maintenance on PLC’s, variable speed drives etc.
4. Maintenance on starters.
5. Run of conduit and wiring.
6. Replacement of parts as needed.
7. Installing and removal of machinery.
8. Know emergency procedures when lights go out in plant.
9. Maintain records and files.
10. Housekeeping.
11. Procedures for lockout/tag out.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
• High School Diploma
Specific Skills Required
1. Must be able to work with others.
2. Background in industrial electricity.
3. Basic PLC understanding and usage skills.
Physical Requirements
1. Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
2. Must be able to climb ladders.
3. Must be able to work in confined areas.
Special Education Required
1. Strong background in electrical.
2. Good work history.
Experience Required
1. 3 years experience as an electrician in an industrial environment desired.
On the Job Training Required
1. Complete Apprenticeship program. Credit for previous applicable schooling.
2. Use of PC for program trouble shooting.
3. Schooling on safety.
4. Lockout procedures.
5. Repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
6. MP2 training, writing work orders and purchase requests.
7. GMP, Food Safety for Maintenance.
